Decently written, plenty good references to good ole 'nerd stuff', not bad action, so why 3 stars you may ask?Because even though i wanted to, i did not cared about any of characters, MC included. They just...not likeable, at least in my opinion. And because of that, at the end of the book i didn't want to just GO AND GRAB NEXT ONE, i was 'Meh' . So, as i said above - not as good as i hoped, but definetly not bad book.
There is nowhere near enough humor in this book to be even close to being described as a comedy. I don't want to call it false advertising, more delusions from the author on what was actually written.Don't get me wrong, there are some funny scenes, like the dinner date, but for the most part it's just a guy bumbling and stumbling around, making all sorts of dumb decisions. The MC insists he's going to do better, then does the same dumb things again. I *think* the author was going for a statement on how corrupting so much power can be to someone who had a complete lack of it, but the reality is the MC just comes across as a fool who squanders just about every opportunity to do, or say, the right thing, thus ruining every potential relationship he could have.Perhaps the idea is to set the bar really low so that future books show improvement. I AM interested in seeing how he works out his relationships with his various love interests, but not sure if it's worth the price of admission.As i have stated in other reviews, Mr. Frazetta, people don't shrug off broken bones as if they are nothing.
It's billed as a Harem Comedy, while it's a Harem, I didn't find the humor.The story is fine, a nice little bit of fun, it seemed to jump around like a flea on meth and ended not feeling like a coherent story.
The main character starts out sympathetic, then becomes a jerk when he uses his powers to essentially get laid by his crushes.The writer needs to proofread his work before he puts out another book.Famine is lack of food, an horseman of apocalypse not a female. Feminate is a female adjective...feminate wiles.
This guy is hilarious and very imaginative. Nice work. I did not see that ending coming - epic!
